David is president and one of the three partners of Russo Partners LLC, a New York City-based public and investor relations firm that works with innovators in health and technology worldwide. A communications strategist and former journalist, he builds and leads teams that manage integrated communications programs to help emerging biopharma, medtech, diagnostics and digital health companies secure funding, establish partnerships, attract talent and launch products. David also leads the firm’s media interview and presentation coaching program as well as oversees the unique Russo Partners Sports-Health Alliance, which connects professional athletes to biopharma and medtech businesses for physician and consumer marketing initiatives. Recent Sports-Health Alliance initiatives have brought the firm’s clients to the NFL’s Super Bowl Radio Row for the past eight years.

Prior to joining Russo Partners and its predecessor agency, Noonan Russo, in 2005, David was the senior vice president of a regional public relations and marketing communications firm in Coral Gables, Fla. In this role, he led the firm’s growth from three executives to more than 27 with a focus on communications programs for professional services, healthcare and technology companies located in the Southeast. Before this, David was the vice president of Coconut Grove, Fla.-based SportsOne Enterprises, a firm that created sports marketing and public relations programs for consumer brands. Earlier in his career, David worked in broadcast news in the Midwest.

David established Russo Partners’ relationships with Life Science Cares New York and the Association of Bioscience Financial Officers, two industry organizations for which the firm provides communications support. He has served as a speaker, panel moderator or interviewer at high-profile conferences, including the BIO International Convention and Lake Nona Impact Forum. In addition, he has served as a guest lecturer in communications classes at NYU, Florida International University and the University of Miami.

David earned a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.S. in journalism from the University of Colorado. In addition, David completed broadcast production and telecommunications classes at Indiana University.
